The Rustic Sandwich & Deli First Impressions: I finally stopped by The Rustic to try the sandwiches and see what all the hype was about. The dining area is small but very functional, with a couple of tables, some bar seating, a soda cooler, with a large wall menu, and an ordering counter. Everything was spotless and neatly arranged. Olivia took our order and could not have been friendlier. She answered every question we had, while the owner, Ralph, stood nearby and shared more about the deli. He explained that he is from Pennsylvania, near Philadelphia, and that the sandwiches are made fresh, with some items prepared in-house each day. He even described the bread they use. Both Olivia and Ralph were welcoming and took the time to help us choose our meals. Kudos to them for making us feel like regulars on our very first visit. What We Ordered: •Rachel: Corned beef and coleslaw on marbled rye, lightly heated •Swiss Tuna: Homemade tuna with Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise on a sub roll •Drinks: Selected from the cooler My Thoughts: Our sandwiches were outstanding. My corned beef and coleslaw sandwich was flavorful and easily the best version I have found in the area.

If you’re looking for an authentic deli that reminds you of the Northeast, The Rustic Sandwich Deli is an absolute must-visit! From the moment we walked in, Ralph made us feel like family. He was incredibly welcoming, took the time to show us the kitchen and the products they use, and you can immediately tell how much pride he takes in his business. The kitchen was absolutely spotless, and it’s clear every sandwich is made with love, care, and purpose. Olivia was just as warm, friendly, and knowledgeable, making the entire experience even better. One thing that really stood out was the bread. They have authentic Kaiser rolls and hero rolls brought in from the NY/NJ area. The bread was so fresh!! As someone who misses the food up north, that first bite instantly brought me back. We ordered the Supreme Roll breakfast sandwich, the Myju, and the Philly Beef (I added lettuce and tomatoes). Every sandwich was generously stuffed with fresh, flavorful ingredients. Amazing sandwich. Ate one half and kept the other for the next day and the bread wasn't soggy and tasted just like it did the day before. When you walk in you instantly feel welcome. Selections are explained well. You can feel the love in the quality of ingredients they use. Will be back for sure!

I had the pleasure of dining at The Rustic today. I was in the mood for a homemade meatball sub. It was absolutely delicious! The service was fantastic and the restaurant was extremely clean! I’ll be returning to try other menu items.

This place is FANTASTIC! 10/10 a wonderful sandwich shop! The staff and owner were so kind and helpful. The owner let us know that he prepares all of his own meats and most of the sandwich ingredients in-house. All of the sandwiches are unique, even the Italian has its own spin and is just delicious! The Grilled Rachel with corned beef was a family favorite, the Italian was next level with the extra oils, vinegar, and spices used, and the Grilled Jeff had amazing 24-hour-marinated and grilled chicken that was just phenomenal! Update: we all loved the sandwiches so much that we went back a few days later and the whole family got the Grilled Rachel with corned beef. This place is a must-do for us when we are in Cape Coral!
